Csaba Onczay Violoncello
The performances in the concerthalls of three continents made Csaba Onzcay one of the leading violoncellists of his generation all over the world. Csaba Onczay was born in 1946 in Budapest. He studied at the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest with Antal Friss, at the Conservatory Tchaikovsky in Moscow with S.P. Shirinsky and with André Navarra in Siena. After terminating his studies he secured the position of professor at the Ferenc Liszt Academy in Budapest. In fall 2001, he was teaching for several months at the Academy at Oberlin USA.
Csaba Onczay won various international prizes, among others first price at the International Pablo Casals Competition in Budapest (1973), first price at the International Villa Lobos Competition of Rio de Janeiro (1976). For his excellent interpretation of Kodály's Solosonata op. 8, he was awarded of the Prize Liszt, and 1993 of the most important prize of Hungary, the Price Kossuth. He gives solo-concerts permanently in the important concerthalls of Europe, America, Korea and Japan. He achieved outstanding successes with the Wiener Symphoniker, the Gewandhaus Orchester Leipzig, the RAI and various orchestras in Rio de Janeiro, Spoken, San Francisco and other large cities.
Besides of numerous redordings of concerts for radio and television, he recorded on CD concertos of C.Ph.E. Bach, Schumann, Lalo, Villa Lobos, Dohnányi and also all sonatas of Beethoven, all the solosuites of Bach. He is considered an outstanding interpreter of contemporary music of Akutagawa, Dutilleux, Gubaidulina, Landowski, Lendvay, Lutoslawski, Penderecki, Szokolay and also of concertos composed for him (Decsényi, Kocsár, Landowski etc.).
Parallel with his activity of interpreter since 1978 he offers master-courses in Italy, Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, USA, Japan and in Hungary. He is regularly invited as soloist and chamber music player to international festivals as the Pablo Casals Festival Prades, Springfestival Budapest, Beaumaris Festival, Music Days Niederstotzingen, Gifu (Japan), Buxton Festival, the festivals in Bergamo, Sion and Keszthely.

Zsuzsanna Homor
Born in 1974 in Budapest, she began her musical education at the age of 6. Upon completion of her studies at the Franz-Liszt Academy of Music, she obtained her diploma for piano in the year 2000 with distinction. Her teachers were István Lantos, Balázs Szokolay, and Márta Gulyás. Zsuzsanna is a successful participant in national and international competitions, courses and festivals, and she won the first prize at the 1998 Andor Földes Wettbewerb in Budapest. She is also the recipient of the Bartók Prize of the 1999 Sommerakademie am Semmering. She has participated in various international master courses under the direction of Diane Andersen, Hans Leygraf, Alan Fraser, László Simon, and György Nádor. Ms. Homor regularly performs solo concerts as well as chamber music in numerous major cities throughout Hungary, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Since 1998 she is working as accompanist in the Cello Department of the Franz-Liszt Academy of Music under the direction of Csaba Onczay.
Due to the family responsibility she was not able to join the Course in 2010. But in 2011 she will be once more the accompanist.
